Warm mission of Valentyna Golovko, a volunteer from Northern GOK

Valentyna Golovko, a compressor unit operator at the Process Water and Slurry Circuit Shop of Northern GOK, knows that everyone can help fight the aggressor in their own way, sometimes even without leaving home. Between shifts, she finds time to volunteer: for two winter seasons, she has been tirelessly knitting socks for the Ukrainian military. There is a constant demand for handmade knitted high socks from local volunteers, as well as from relatives, neighbours and colleagues who have relatives in the trenches. That is why she does not stop working in the cold season. To date, she has knitted more than 90 pairs."I recorded the time: in seven hours, I have a pair of socks ready. They are long, without patterns and decorations – to make them quicker. I really want the soldiers to have warm feet. During the first winter of the war, I could not eat, sleep or calmly watch the video of our guys in the trenches in the middle of an empty field. Mud, cold, rain or snow, and they are fighting.

Kamet-Steel mastered a new type of metallurgical equipment maintenance and repair

Specialists from METINVEST PROMSERVICE's Metallurgical Equipment Maintenance and Repair Shop at Branch 3 have mastered a high-quality and efficient technology for restoring critical equipment. Now, at the request of Kamet-Steel Sinter Shop, repairmen straighten pallet cars for sintering machines at the plant, which allows the company to reduce the cost of repairing this equipment several times. Дмитро Лубенець Pallet cars are very important in sinter production, and their smooth movement through the sintering machine ensures a stable process. However, during long operation at high temperatures, the steel structures of the cars are deformed, which disrupts the rhythm of movement. This can lead to a forced or even emergency shutdown of the sintering machine equipment, disruption of the production process and, as a result, a loss of sinter production. Recently, pallet cars were sent for restoration to another city. From now on, such work is carried out by METINVEST PROMSERVICE's Metallur

Love or fear - a psychological training held at Zaporizhzhia Oplich HUB

Psychologists from Oplich HUB held an interesting event for Zaporizhzhia residents. Love should bring happiness, not depressing feelings. And it is important for each of us to understand when relationships become destructive or disruptive. This issue was discussed at the training "Love or Fear?" at Oplich HUB. Oplich HUB was established by the UN Global Compact in Ukraine as part of the Mental Help project and with the support of Metinvest Group's humanitarian initiative Saving Lives in response to an internal demand from society to take care of mental health. "Often, it is relationships – with a partner, parents, relatives - that become a kind of trigger, causing emotional discomfort. Andriy Myronov, an electrician at Northern GOK's Networks and Substations Department, is one of the veterans who had no intention of returning to civilian life until the end of the war but had to do so because of his injuries. Андрій Миронов Enemy attacks and shelling, trenches and cold, painful losses and constant danger. Andriy Myronov returned to his native plant with such war experience behind him. The combat geography of the Northern GOK employee covered Kramatorsk and the outskirts of Bakhmut for six months at the front. Andriy asked to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine himself: the father of three sons stormed the military recruitment office several times since February 2022 until he was finally sent to military training.
