Metinvest Central Iron Ore to Optimise Ore Transportation Routes

Railway workers at Central Iron Ore have developed and implemented a project to reduce the distance for ore transportation to the crushing plant. The initiative will save nearly 500 tonnes of diesel fuel annually, worth over UAH 25 million.Two ore transportation routes to the crushing plant caught the attention of Railway Office specialists. The first route transports 3 million tonnes per year, the second – 2.6 million tonnes per year."Considering the current production configuration and railway development diagrams of the Railway Office, we found an option to optimise two of three ore transportation routes," commented Andrii BRYKOVETS, head of the Railway Office's production bureau at Central Iron Ore. Metinvest Named Ukraine’s No. 1 Investor in Energy Independence

Delo.ua has named Metinvest Group as the leading investor in energy independence among 20 Ukrainian companies.The publication conducted a survey of large companies, excluding energy producers. For the first time, it compiled a list of 20 businesses that are building their own generation capacity and entering the energy market. Metinvest's GOKs continue training employees on how to respond in emergency situations

At Metinvest's iron ore enrichment plants in Kryvyi Rih, exactly a year ago, the work of fire-fighting units and first aid units was introduced. They are formed from employees in each production shift who are prepared to act correctly during emergency situations, including those that may be caused by hostilities.
