Zaporizhcoke has improved workplace amenities for employees

Metinvest Group's Zaporizhcoke continues to implement its corporate programme to improve workplace amenities for employees. In 2025, the plant has upgraded four workplace amenity facilities for more than 50 workers.

Despite the challenging economic conditions caused by the war, Zaporizhcoke continues to invest in improving employees' workplace amenities. Recently, as part of the "Workplace Amenities" programme, the enterprise completed major renovation work on facilities in three subdivisions.

Major renovations were carried out on dining rooms in the quality control department, boiler and turbine shop, and sulphur removal shop. In addition, the sanitary facilities in the sulphur removal shop were upgraded.

The major overhaul of facilities with a total area of 40 m² included replacing all utilities, window and door units, plumbing, and finishing work. The rooms were equipped with furniture and appliances – refrigerators, microwaves, hand dryers, kettles, and water coolers, etc. Over 50 employees will use these updated rooms.

"The modern dining room creates additional comfort at the workplace, making our lunch breaks more comfortable. Quality modern renovation and a fully equipped place with all the necessary equipment for rest during your shift matter greatly. This improves your mood and energises you for productive work," explained Nadiia MELNYKOVA, an equipment operator in the sulphur removal shop.

Also, as part of the programme, 25 units of air conditioning equipment were installed, and the next step is the installation of 14 water heaters. The total budget for implementation of the "Workplace Amenities" programme at the enterprise in 2025 amounted to almost UAH 2 million.

As a reminder, the "Workplace Amenities" programme has been implemented at Zaporizhcoke since 2012. During this period, the enterprise has allocated approximately UAH 55 million towards bringing sanitary, amenity and administrative buildings into compliance with best practices for workplace culture and amenities.
