Zaporizhstal, part of Metinvest Group, continues to advance its large-scale corporate programme aimed at enhancing workplace comfort for its metallurgists. This year, the company has completed major renovations of two welfare facilities and installed two new modular sanitary units, with a total investment of UAH 23 million.
The company has put into operation upgraded welfare facilities for Section No. 3 of the Cold Rolling Mill and Metallurgical Equipment Repair Shop No. 1, spanning a total area of more than 1,100 m². The facilities underwent extensive renovations, including the replacement of all utilities, windows, doors, and plumbing fixtures, along with interior finishing work. The updated spaces are equipped with hair dryers, drying systems, climate control units, and new individual lockers for personal belongings.
This year’s completed projects also include the installation of two large modular sanitary units built from scratch for employees working in remote sections of the slag processing and metal products shops. These modular facilities are fully equipped to provide employees with a level of comfort comparable to standard workplace facilities. In total, the upgraded welfare facilities will benefit over 500 Zaporizhstal employees.
Metinvest’s corporate programme, Workplace Comfort, has been improving workplace facilities at Zaporizhstal since 2012. Over the years, the programme has renovated 220 welfare facilities with a total investment of nearly UAH 250 million.
