Modernisation of Kamet Steel's electrical equipment saves over UAH 8 million in three months

The effective partnership continues: two energy service projects, successfully implemented together with YASNO Energy Efficiency at the end of last year in Kamet Steel’s Networks and Substations Shop, have already generated over UAH 8 million in savings within just three months. The energy-efficient solutions were implemented at substations that supply power for the steelworks’ technological processes. In particular, design upgrades at one of the key substations enabled the transition of all consumers to first-class power supply from in-house 6kV networks, substantially reducing electricity costs. To redistribute the power supply, a new cable line nearly 1.5 kilometres long was laid, and the existing cable structures were restored in accordance with design specifications. This included the installation of a water drainage system, waterproofing, and a new switchgear cell – enhancing both the reliability and quality of the power supply.FIGUREIn the first three months of operation, the proj
