PJSC "Ilyich Iron and Steel Works" of METINVEST Group obtained new certificates of conformity for rolled products in 2021, including a certificate entitling to place UKCA sign (UK Conformity Assessed) marking on products. The audit was held by representatives of the "SGS Ukraine" company - the world leader in the filed of inspection services, expert evaluation, tests and certification, that has the UKAS accreditation (the United Kingdom Accreditation Service).
The process of obtaining international сcertificates is painstaking:the auditors of the "SGS Ukraine" company were taking a close look at production processes of Ilyich Iron and Steel Works and were studying the necessary documentation; they studied the whole product release chain - from the supply of feedstock and materials to getting finished rolled products; they familiarized themselves with the methods for quality control of feedstock and rolled products.
Based on the results of the «SGS United Kingdom Limited» company audit a certificate was obtained, confirming the compliance of products, manufactured at PJSC "Ilyich Iron and Steel Works" of METINVEST Group, with the specified rules, entitling sales thereof in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.The document was issued for the enterprise for three years.
Obtaining these certificated will allow Ilyich Iron and Steel Works to strengthen their position on the global market of steel products, meeting increased customers' requirements to rolled products quality.

The check was intended to confirm the compliance of steel products with the following requirements: AD2000Merkblatt W0 technical rules; European Parliament and Council Directive 2014/68EC (PED) for pressure receptacles;Construction Regulation 305/2011 (CPR, CE marking);EN, DIN EN, ASTM, JIS standards.
