The major renovation of the outpatient clinic in the village of Lozuvatka is nearing completion. The project, aimed at supporting healthcare for community residents, including the rehabilitation of service members, veterans and their families, is being implemented under a memorandum of cooperation between the Lozuvatka community, the NGO ‘Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future’ and Metinvest Iron Ore Plants.
The Lozuvatka outpatient clinic for general practice and family medicine is a key healthcare facility serving several thousand residents. More than 20 specialists work here, providing primary healthcare services, conducting preventive consultations, and treating patients with pulmonary diseases and COVID, infectious illnesses, injuries, poisonings and more. Special programmes offering extended services are available at the medical facility to support military personnel and veterans.
“As part of our ongoing collaboration with Metinvest and Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future, we are completing the reconstruction of the Lozuvatka outpatient clinic. The renovation works have taken into account all aspects to ensure comfort for both medical staff and patients, including an inclusive approach – all in line with standards. This is a very important healthcare facility for our community, as it serves more than eight thousand people, including internally displaced persons, veterans and military families,” noted Vitalii YATSENKO, Head of the Lozuvatka community.

As part of the project supported by Metinvest, the outpatient clinic building has been insulated at the plinth and façade, fitted with a new roof and drainage system, and renovated inside the medical facility. Final works are currently underway, including the arrangement of porches and landscaping around the building.
Overall, the implementation of Metinvest’s social projects in the Lozuvatka community is coordinated by the NGO ‘Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future’.
“The projects implemented in the Lozuvatka community were initially focused on infrastructure development, landscaping and education… but in 2022 we had to adjust our plans and began working more on the humanitarian aspect, arranging housing for families of internally displaced persons with children and supplying medicines to the outpatient clinic. This year we also decided to implement an important initiative – to modernise the Lozuvatka outpatient clinic,” said Olena LESHCHENKO, Director of the NGO ‘Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future’.
Among other social projects in the Lozuvatka community this year is the completion of the reconstruction of a kindergarten building in the village of Sofiivka to create an Administrative Service Centre and a cultural and educational space, including the installation of a temporary shelter.
