Military in Donetsk Region Received 25 Electronic Warfare Systems from Metinvest to Protect Vehicles and Infantry

The units of military department 3719, which perform combat missions in Donetsk region, received a batch of 25 electronic warfare systems to protect vehicles and infantry. Metinvest Group donated the aid as part of the Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front defence initiative.

The military say that it is impossible to build effective work without reliable protection. And on the front line, it is often a matter of life and death. Dome-type electronic warfare equipment is the equipment that helps our military to ‘hide’ from enemy drones.

"We are very grateful for Metinvest's understanding and care for the military and look forward to further cooperation," said Yurii BASIUK, a representative of the military.

The next batch of modern equipment from Metinvest includes 25 electronic warfare systems. The company's cooperation with the Defence Forces will continue until the Ukraine's complete victory, and the amount of assistance to the military will grow.

"We systematically help many military units, search for and deliver the equipment they need, and promptly respond to requests from soldiers. This year, we will deliver more equipment and even more drones. This is what we all need to do to speed up our victory," said Oleksandr VODOVIZ, Head of the Project Office of Metinvest Group's CEO.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Metinvest has already spent UAH 4.8 billion to support Ukraine. Of this amount, over UAH 2.5 billion has been spent on helping the military as part of Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front defence initiative. This makes the company the largest private donor to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Metinvest has set up a technology to produce special steel for armour plates, supplied more than 330 special mobile shelters 'kryivka" to the military and organised systematic supplies of military equipment and machinery to the frontline. In particular, the defenders received about 1,500 reconnaissance drones, 2,000 units of high-precision military optics, 875 units of communication equipment and more than 520 vehicles for various purposes.
