Bracelets from the last batch of Azovstal steel, inscribed with "I BELIEVE IN THE ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE" were released today, but they’re not for sale. Instead, anyone can win one by making a donation. These funds will be used to purchase an anti-drone system under the code name 'Shahed Hunter,' which will help detect and destroy the enemy’s UAVs.
On Defenders Day, the UNITED24 fundraising platform, monobank and Igor Lachenkov launched a joint fundraiser to raise funds for an anti-drone complex. Everyone who donates as much as UAH 5 will have a chance at winning one of these special edition bracelets, made from the last batch of Azovstal steel.
The edition includes 1000 pieces only, and will not be released again. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi has personally signed 100 of these bracelets. 80 of them are guaranteed to those who make a UAH 100,000 donation or more. Another 20 bracelets will be raffled off among all participants, regardless of the amount of their contribution. The minimum donation is USD 10, with a 1.8% transaction fee.
"'Azovstal. A Symbol of Perseverance,' the project by the UNITED24 fundraising platform, Metinvest Group, SOVA and Nova Poshta, has already brought in over 40 million UAH," says Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov. "A limited series of "I BELIEVE IN THE ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE" bracelets, which will be raffled off among the donors by monobank and Ihor Lachenkov, will give us the opportunity to purchase the 'Shahed Hunter,' a complex for detecting all types of aircraft, even those that use complex communication channels like Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones. It has an effective radius of 5 square kilometers and is designed to protect critical infrastructure facilities. These systems are used by NATO countries."
"Now it is very important to protect our people from a new threat in these Iranian drones," said the Co-founder of monobank Oleg Gorokhovsky. "That is why monobank, together with Igor Lachenkov, decided to join UNITED24 in order to raise at least 100 million UAH for the 'Shahed Hunter' anti-drone system, which will allow us to neutralize these drones and save lives. Monobank has already transferred UAH 5 million of its own funds, and we invite everyone to join us."
The fundraiser will start at 9:00 a.m. (EEST), October 14, and will last until 11:00 p.m., October 15. To participate in the "I BELIEVE IN THE ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE" bracelet draw, you need to donate USD 10 or more. The bigger the amount, the more chance to win. Each donor can make any number of donations. Anyone worldwide can partake in the draw. Nova Poshta will deliver all "I BELIEVE IN THE ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE" bracelets at their own expense.
The results will be published in the OGo! Telegram channel on October 16, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.
