Volodymyr Kozlov left his home city Mariupol on foot together with his two nephews. Like many other Ukrainians, Volodymyr could not imagine that Russia's aggression will escalate into large-scale war. So, he stayed in Mariupol until he found himself under shelling.
Before the large-scale war started, Volodymyr had worked as a refractory man at Metinvest-Promservice. Thanks to Metinvest, he was able to find a job at a similar enterprise in Zaporizhzhia. Here, he plans to start his life from scratch.
Volodymyr and his nephews received help from the Saving Lives project in the most difficult moment of their lives and are very grateful for it. Like many other displaced people, he would like to come back home, but he does not have home any more and his home city is under occupation.
