Since the early days of the war, Metinvest Group has launched a powerful humanitarian front, as part of which it supplies the communities in Donetsk region with food packages, modern medical equipment, medicines, protective structures for military personnel, overalls and potbelly stoves.
This time, Metinvest and the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation have provided Pokrovsk community with modern diesel power plants, designed to maintain an uninterrupted operation of boiler houses during power outages, which occur very often.
“Powerful diesel generators are capable of providing sustainable electricity generation,” says Oleksandr MYRONENKO, COO of Metinvest Group. “They have proven themselves as reliable ones in hospitals in Zaporizhzhia, where, for example, two such generators fully support the operation of the surgical department".
Despite the great demand for any kind of generators, which have become strategic devices during the war, the company has found foreign suppliers and solved this problem quickly.
"Five generators for Pokrovsk community were purchased at the expense of Metinvest Pokrovskcoal with the participation of the Public Organization “Pokrovska Platform for Joint Actions”. Four of them have already been delivered to Pokrovsk. The total cost of the generators amounted to 5 million hryvnias. This is the next stage of regular aid provided by the company to the communities where it operates,” said Andriy AKULYCH, General Director of Metinvest Pokrovscoal.
According to the head of the Pokrovsk City Executive Administration, Sergiy Dobriak, in a few weeks, the generators will be installed in large boiler houses, which supply heat to the residents of Pokrovsk. A material reserve in the form of diesel fuel has already been prepared for their operation.
