The restored truck will help the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia area.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Metinvest, as part of Rinat Akhmetov's Steel Front military initiative, joined the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and began to systematically provide the military with various assistance. In particular, such support is mainly focused on the repair of trucks that were "wounded" during hostilities.
The company's specialists restore trucks at the repair facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This time, a team of Metinvest skilled auto mechanics repaired and handed over a truck that will be used on the Zaporizhzhia area to the defenders.
- Despite being tired, our defenders are fighting now, so we shall constantly help them. And the repair of damaged trucks is also important, because off-road vehicles ensure the mobility of our defenders. Therefore we continue to "rescue" the wheeled assistants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, - says Oleg Adamanov, Transport & Logistics Director of Zaporizhstal.
Metinvest specialists conducted an inspection of the truck and performed the necessary restoration work: repair of the fuel system, running gear - replaced some parts that failed, repaired the car winch for transporting other vehicles.
- With the beginning of the counterattack, the situation in the Zaporizhzhia area worsened, so the need for powerful large trucks became even greater. The truck repaired by Metinvest specialists is equipped with a winch, it has four-wheel drive, and a powerful engine, which makes it possible to evacuate and pull out stuck vehicles from road accidents in any weather. So this giant will help with that as well. Such help is very important now, we thank Metinvest for the necessary operational support, - says the head of the automotive service of the battalion with the call sign "Sova".
