At the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC) 2025 in Rome, the State Agency for Restoration of Ukraine, together with Metinvest Group, presented the Citadel project, which will install modular steel underground shelters in Ukrainian schools to protect children during air raid alerts. During the conference, all URC visitors had the opportunity to view a composition of two “hideout” modules, fitted out as school shelters. The 2025 event is the fourth international URC conference dedicated to Ukraine’s rapid recovery and long-term reconstruction. The top ten included those with the highest revenue in 2024, according to YouControl, Ukraine’s leading online company verification service.According to the publication, the total revenue of the ten IT subsidiaries of Ukraine’s largest companies amounted to UAH7 billion (US$174 million) in 2024. In US dollar terms, this represents a 160% increase compared to the pre-war year of 2021 and a 49% rise compared to 2023. Metinvest has identified the most successful participants of Steel Force, a new internship program for Ukrainian students pursuing higher education in the UK. Its goal is to provide young people with the opportunity to build a career in an international company, as well as to involve them in the implementation of projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine and the development of the domestic mining and metallurgical industry.During the first stage of Steel Force, 30 students from 16 British universities were united into teams that, with the support of mentors – Metinvest's managers of various levels – worked on real business cases of the company.
