Experts from Metinvest Business Service Conducted Specialised Webinars for Students

Specialists from Metinvest Business Service held two guest online sessions for 95 university students. The seminars focused on the general principles and approaches to financial reporting, as well as the financial instruments used in business.

Metinvest Business Service continues to cooperate with Ukrainian universities to encourage young specialists to undertake internships and future employment. This time, the webinar participants were finance students from five higher education institutions, including Kryvyi Rih National University, Metinvest Polytechnic, Donetsk University of Economics and Technology, as well as Zaporizhzhia National University and its College of Economics and Law. 

The speakers from Metinvest Business Service were Nataliia Dubovyk, Head of the Reporting Department, and Iryna Korop, Head of the Financial Transactions Department. Expert support at the meeting was provided by Tamila Karlash, Director of the Accounting Operations Department, and Yuliia Halkina, Head of the Unified Settlement Centre.

At the start of the meeting, the specialists traditionally shared key information with the students about Metinvest Group, the areas of activity of its assets, and the company’s priorities during wartime, before focusing directly on the webinar topics, covering financial reporting and the financial instruments used by the state, businesses, and Metinvest Group.

The speakers provided detailed explanations to future finance and economics specialists about financial instruments. They explained the purpose of financial reporting, outlined its main forms, described for whom and why it is consolidated, and discussed submission and publication deadlines, among other aspects. They emphasised the significant responsibility of specialists who prepare financial reports, the need to comply with requirements, and the importance of impartiality and accuracy in reporting.
