A mixer has been put back into operation in the BOF Shop after a major overhaul. The unit was completely re-lined and its important equipment was repaired. The objectives of the 45-day overhaul, which started in June, have been achieved: more than 550 cubic metres of refractory brickwork in the mixer body were completely replaced, key equipment, which can only be repaired during a complete long-term shutdown of the unit, was restored, and the dedusting system was comprehensively repaired and maintained. The 2.5 thousand tonne mixer is designed for the technological preparation of hot metal before it is transferred to the converter department and poured into the BOFs, which involves temperature equalizing and chemical composition averaging. Near Irpin, the construction of Ukraine's first residential house printed using the country's first construction 3D printer by 3D UTU has been completed.
