On the occasion of the Day of the Defenders of Ukraine, a ceremony honouring fallen soldiers was held in Zaporizhzhia at the Tree of Memory memorial. An important social initiative has been launched in Kamianske: the implementation of the Hibuki Therapy project, which provides psychological support and rehabilitation for children. The programme is being implemented by the non-governmental organisation “Zaporizhzhia. The primary aim of the project is to equip education professionals and child psychologists with modern, effective tools to help children cope with stress, psychological trauma, and anxiety caused by the realities of wartime life. To mark Ukraine’s Veterans Day, Metinvest organised a gathering for war veterans employed at the company’s operations in Zaporizhzhia. Around 50 veterans from across Zaporizhzhia came together to connect, get to know one another better, exchange experiences, and simply spend time among people who share similar life experiences. This time, the conversation was not limited to military service and the challenges of returning to civilian life. Participants tested their knowledge of the history of the Ukrainian Cossacks during a themed quiz. They explored questions such as what helped the Cossacks survive on the water, what was considered more disgraceful than losing one’s hat, and tackled a range of other unexpected challenges. На 94-му році життя помер Володимир Орлов – легендарний ветеран цеху гарячої прокатки Запоріжсталі, Герой Праці та один із найвідоміших прокатників комбінату. Понад чотири десятиліття він працював на підприємстві, пройшовши шлях від підручного вальцівника до старшого вальцівника та керівника бригади.Володимир Орлов народився в Умані. До Запоріжжя його привела професія: після закінчення Запорізького металургійного технікуму за спеціальністю «Прокатне виробництво» він прийшов працювати на Запоріжсталь. Свій трудовий шлях на комбінаті розпочав у 1958 році підручним вальцівника цеху гарячої прокатки тонкого листа. Вже за рік він став вальцівником. А з 1967 року очолював бригаду технологів і працював старшим вальцівником.
