Study Tour for Students of Vocational Schools Was Held at Ingulets GOK

As part of the memorandum signed, Metinvest's Ingulets GOK continues to cooperate with educational institutions in Kryvyi Rih that train workers for the mining industry. To help future graduates adapt to the workplace, an informative study tour of the company's main divisions was organised.

Students of Ingulets vocational school, Polytechnic and Ingulets vocational educational institutions of Kryvyi Rih National University are currently undergoing industrial and pre-graduation practical training at InGOK, learning their future profession here. To give the students a complete picture of the life and work of the plant, they were shown the entire production process - from ore mining to iron ore concentrate production and met with the company's leading specialists.

"We have gathered future graduates of specialised educational institutions who are currently mastering all the professions that are in demand at our plant. These are miners and repairmen, ore enrichment specialists, power engineers and future railway workers. During their practical training, they are already acquiring the necessary production skills that will help them to work at Ingulets Iron Ore Enrichment Plant in the future. Our team will be happy to have these young people join our team," said Mykhaylo TSURKAN, Director of Human Resources and Social Affairs at Metinvest's Ingulets GOK.

First, the students visited an observation site of the Ingulets open pit mine, where they were able to observe the work of the excavation and drilling sections, to see the movement of dump trucks and railway transport, which removed rock mass and overburden. The tour continued to the crushing and ore beneficiation plants. At each stage, the guests were accompanied by specialists from business units who told them about the specifics of production processes of the shops. Mariia VOLYNETS, a student of Ingulets vocational educational institution of Kryvyi Rih national university, is currently undergoing practical training at Ore Beneficiation Plant #1 as a filter operator apprentice. She shares her impressions of what she has seen:

"This is my second tour of the plant. I was here for the first time when I was a schoolgirl. I remember how impressed I was with the open pit mine and its vast view. Now I was more interested in watching the operation of huge mixers, flotation machines and magnetic separators. My mother told me a lot about the plant because she worked here for 20 years as a conveyor operator at the crushing plant. Looking at the production process, the question always arises: who could have created such a sophisticated technology?"

Veronika Glovatska also chose the same educational institution and future profession. The girl was also impressed by the scale of the Ingulets deposit development and the process of transporting ore through a network of conveyors at the crushing plant. She has already decided that she wants to connect her life and career with InGOK after graduation.

The organisers also added another useful component to the tour: the students were shown a training video on first aid. The knowledge gained may be useful to young people in case of emergency situations both at work and in everyday life. After the tour, the students were presented with memorable gifts from the plant and certificates for visiting the Ingulets cinema from the trade union committee of Ingulets GOK.
