Inhulets Iron Ore’s Leading Specialists Honoured by Management

An event was held at Inhulets Iron Ore to mark the 61st anniversary of the enterprise’s founding. The most distinguished employees, recognised for their dedication to their work and to the plant, were congratulated by Dmytro Malykh, Production and Planning Director of Metinvest’s Consolidated Iron.

Dmytro Yuriiovych expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the plant’s workshops for their professionalism, resilience, and personal contribution to maintaining the enterprise’s operations during a particularly challenging period.

Despite the fact that the war and the global economic crisis have disrupted the plant’s ambitious development plans and altered its approaches, Inhulets employees continue to demonstrate their distinctive resilience, each fulfilling their role within Consolidated Iron Ore. Today, thanks to their achievements and experience, new ideas and initiatives are being brought to life.

By decision of Consolidated Iron Ore's management, seven employees were awarded Letters of Appreciation and commemorative bonuses in recognition of their conscientious work, high professionalism, active civic position, and on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of Inhulets Iron Ore. Those recognised as the best included Volodymyr Voloshyn, a section supervisor at the crushing plant; Oleksandr Vaskiv, a duty and repair fitter in the service maintenance shop; Andrii Shynkarenko, a foreman in the technological transport shop; Anatolii Syzonenko, a driver in the motor transport shop; Andrii Petrenko, shift supervisor in the railway shop; Dmytro Lykov, a power engineer in the production preparation shop; and Serhii Ovsieienko, head of the laboratory of the networks and substations shop.

“For me, Inhulets Iron Ore is more than just a job. It is a significant part of my life. I am originally from Donetsk region, but I studied in Dnipro. After graduating from university, I was assigned to Inhulets Iron Ore. This year marks 25 years since I took up the position of engineer in the relay protection and automation group. Currently, I head a laboratory that continues to carry out its tasks of measuring parameters, as well as testing and examining electrical equipment. After all, the plant’s power supply remains uninterrupted in order to keep the technological equipment operational,” said Serhii OVSIEIENKO.

The miners also received congratulations on the occasion from Inhulets District Council. Letters of Appreciation from the district authorities were presented to Vitalii Kovalchuk, a Grade 5 blaster at the open pit mine, and Tetiana LEONIDOVA, a forewoman at Ore Beneficiation Plant No. 1:

“I am an Inhulets local myself, so from childhood I understood that working at the plant offered the most promising prospects. I therefore planned my education accordingly. I hold a Master’s degree in Mineral Processing. I have been working at Ore Beneficiation Plant No. 1 since 2013. I began in the filtration section and now work as a forewoman. What I value most in my work is teamwork, as the final result depends on our collective efforts. If someone makes a mistake, it lets everyone down. Despite my considerable experience, I am still fascinated by the process of ore beneficiation – this technological magic. Now, more than ever, we come to work with great commitment, take care of the equipment and keep it maintained and running, so that, if needed, we can quickly return to a full working rhythm."

At the event, congratulations were also extended to former employees of the plant – distinguished veterans who witnessed the establishment and development of the large-scale enterprise. Words of gratitude were also extended to the defenders currently safeguarding our land, as well as to those who have returned to production following demobilisation. They also remembered with honour their colleagues who gave their lives in this war for freedom.
