Always supporting our soldiers: Zaporizhstal employee in the Armed Forces expresses gratitude for assistance

For nearly three years, around 1,000 Zaporizhstal employees have been serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Throughout their service, the plant has supported them in various ways, ranging from simple check-in calls asking “How are you?” to concrete aid such as protective gear, vehicles, drones and more, provided on request.

Recently, a production planning specialist, now serving as a reconnaissance soldier in a mechanised brigade under the call sign “Pups”, has received a DJI Mavic 3 drone from Zaporizhstal.

“I joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in April 2022, during the early months of the full-scale invasion. Throughout this time, my colleagues and managers have stayed in touch, asking about my needs and always stepping up to help. It’s so good to feel this support, to know that I haven't been forgotten, that people are waiting for me, and that I am always welcome.

On the front lines, drones aren’t a luxury – they’re an absolute necessity. We don’t start our missions without prior reconnaissance with a drone, and no mission proceeds without drone coverage. They serve as our eyes during combat and assist in evacuations. Drones save lives and enable us to perform our combat missions effectively. I’m very grateful that Zaporizhstal promptly responded to our unit’s request and found a way to strengthen my team with this essential equipment,” shared the Zaporizhstal defender.
