For many years, Zaporizhstal's labour veterans have been creating traditions of dedication and hard work at the plant, which are still being carried on by a new generation of steelmakers. Therefore, even after retirement, the plant always takes care of its veterans, provides support and assistance and congratulates them on their honourable anniversaries.
Recently, the representatives of the plant and personally Roman Slobodianiuk, General Director of the plant, congratulated Yan Borysovych KRISIN, the veteran, rolling mill operator, on his 65th birthday.
– Each of our veterans is our pride. We are proud to be the descendants of these hardened, resilient, and hardworking people. We are grateful to our veterans for their many years of hard work. Today we congratulate Yan Borysovych on his honourable anniversary. We wish him good health, strength, and inspiration and, of course, peace, – Roman SLOBODIANIUK said.
Yan Borysovych has been working at Zaporizhstal for 34 years. And at the plant he met the love of his life - his wife Svitlana Petrivna.
“At first, I worked as a locksmith, but later I was called up for military service. But after two years in the army, of course, I immediately returned to Zaporizhstal, but to a different department – the hot rolling shop. I worked as an operator, then was promoted to foreman,” the veteran recalls.
In 2009, Yan Borysovych was awarded the honorary title of Honoured Metallurgist of Ukraine.
“Of course, it's nice when your work is noticed and recognised, when your home plant does not forget about you even after retirement. Zaporizhstal always cares, helps and supports you in difficult times. So, I wish Ukraine to win, and the plant to prosper, develop and modernise,” added Yan Borysovych.
Today, the Krisin family continues its way at Zaporizhstal. Natalia, the daughter of the Krisin family, like her father, once worked in the hot rolling shop, where Yan Borysovych taught the profession to many generations of steelmakers.
