Zaporizhcoke confirms its compliance with international ISO standards

At the end of last year, Zaporizhzhia Coke Plant of Metinvest Group successfully passed the supervisory audits of its integrated management system for compliance with international quality, environmental, occupational health and safety, and energy management standards.

High quality of products, energy saving, labor protection and compliance with environmental regulations were among the main principles even in peacetime. Today, when the full-scale war is raging in Ukraine, there are acute problems with energy and raw material supplies and constant threats of missile attacks, these components are becoming the main ones in the company's "survival" issues. Zaporizhcoke is also guided by these postulates.

At the end of last year, Zaporozhcoke successfully passed the supervisory audits of its integrated management system for compliance with the requirements of international standards, such as ISO 9001:2015 (quality management), ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety), ISO 50001:2018 (energy management) and ISO 14001:2015 (environment management).

Auditors of Technical and Management Services and TUV AVSTRIA corporate partner conducted audits of the plant's business units for compliance with the requirements of international management system standards. The audits were conducted in all plant's business units, including coal preparation shop, coke shop, desulphurization, recovery shop and other shops.

The auditors noted systematic efforts to improve product quality, effective implementation of energy saving measures, high level of occupational safety and compliance with international environmental standards. Based on the results of the audits, Zaporozhcoke was recommended to renew its certificates of compliance with quality, health and safety, energy and environmental management standards.

– Every year, Zaporizhcoke proves its systemic improvement by deed, not by word. The year of 2022 is not an exception. Based on the results of the inspections, the company confirms the high level of functioning of the integrated management system, - Sergiy IVASHINA, an auditor of the Technical and Management Services company, said.

Zaporozhcoke has been certified since 2014 and regularly confirms its compliance with international standards of quality management, environmental management, occupational health and safety management.
