Under the "Bring a Friend" program, 350 new employees came to Metinvest Integrated Iron Ore in 2025

For the third year in a row, employees of Metinvest iron ores have been participating in the "Bring a Friend" program – they invite their pals and friends, offering them a stable job with a decent income. The program helps enterprises find candidates for vacant positions in conditions of personnel shortages.

The "Bring a Friend" program is aimed at attracting both new workers with training opportunities and experienced specialists to the divisions of the plants. For the search for candidates and each employed, employees receive additional financial rewards. Last year alone, 350 specialists came to the workshops of Integrated Iron Ore, and in January 2026, the structural divisions of the plants were replenished with 47 new employees.

Danylo Kuziv has been working at Northern Iron Ore as a mill operator at OBP-1 for almost a year. Recently, the guy invited his mother to the plant.

"I’ve been fending for myself since I was 18. I have been working for two years and of them almost a year in Metinvest. I like it. There is stability, there is a normal income. My mother had not had an official job for some time, so I invited her to come to our plant, because I had heard that there were various vacancies. And then I had also learned that incentives are paid for invitations. So it is beneficial for everyone... So we came to the HR department together, filled out a questionnaire, she passed the interview. And now she undergoes training. She says that she likes it, everything works out for her, and I'm glad about it. Now we are in the same workshop, although no one expected it. The team here is very good. I have already received the first payment.  Who knows, maybe I will invite someone else in the future," says Danylo KUZIV.

Danylo's mother, Anastasia KUZIV, is now a crane operator's apprentice. She had changed an off‑the‑books sales job for a steady income and social protection.

"I decided to try it when my son told me about vacancies at the plant. Before, I remember, it had been difficult to get a job at the works, but now, due to the war, there is a demand for workers. I was very warmly welcomed. I was told in detail about the possibility of training, potential responsibilities, and I was interested. Now I will master the science of a crane operator. My mother had worked on a crane for many years, although I myself had graduated from a technical school as a diesel locomotive driver. And now I have been at the plant for three months, while still as an apprentice. To be honest, I like the work. Although it is not easy, and very responsible, and it was not easy in the first days. But the people around me are good, the mentors are wonderful – they accepted, teach, help, respond to my every question, recommend how to do it right, how to do it better. I think everything will be fine. The main thing is that I feel supported and I like the work."

To become a member of the "Bring a Friend" program, you must invite an acquaintance or relative who is ready to be trained and/or work to the HR department. Within the framework of this program, the employee is guaranteed monetary motivation for people employed on his recommendations for available vacancies. The incentive is accrued in the amount of one salary of the employee involved and is paid in installments in three stages. Each program participant can invite any number of candidates and receive the appropriate reward each time.
