This year, the professional holiday has acquired a special meaning, because in 2026 the company celebrates the 20th anniversary of its foundation. 20 years ago, a story began that thousands of people write every day with their work, knowledge and dedication.
Indeed, the history of Metinvest cannot be measured only by years or production indicators. It consists of the stories of people - those who go to the shift every day, mine ore, produce pellets, repair equipment, ensure the smooth operation of enterprises and pass on their experience to the next generations.
It was the people of labour – miners, metallurgists, repairmen, power engineers, machinists, engineers and specialists of various professions – who became the main heroes of the celebrations dedicated to the Day of the Metallurgist and the Miner. It was to them that words of gratitude, applause and the highest awards were addressed these days.

And it is thanks to them that the history of Metinvest has been going on for 20 years.
Working in war conditions is a great challenge, but you once again prove that professionalism, responsibility and cohesion are able to overcome any difficulties. Each award today is not only a recognition of personal or team achievements. This is a thank you to all employees who hold the production front every day, support each other and help the company remain a reliable support for the Ukrainian economy.

Traditions that unite generations
A special place during the celebrations was taken by honouring the labour dynasties of Metinvest. These are families for whom the profession has become a matter of several generations, and the company is part of the family history.
This year, for a significant contribution to the development of their enterprise, four families received the award "Golden Dynasty of Metinvest" and a prize of 50 thousand hryvnias. Six more dynasties were awarded the title of "Steel Dynasty of Metinvest" and a prize of 20 thousand hryvnias. Tetiana Petruk, Director of Sustainable Development and Human Resources at Metinvest, presented awards to the GOK dynasties, for which the largest number of Metinvest members voted.
This year, the title of the "Golden Dynasty of miners" was awarded to the Zemlyan dynasty from the Northern GOK. The steel dynasties are the Fedusov family from the Ingulets GOK and the Patrechenko family from the Central GOK.
– Our family has been talking about the plant for as long as I can remember, – says Viktoria FEDUSOVA. – My grandfather, grandmother, our parents worked here, now we work. From here, my husband, son and brothers went to defend Ukraine. For us, this is not just a place of work – the Ingulets GOK is part of the family history. It is very pleasant that the company values not only professional achievements, but also family traditions.
Among the winners of the "gold" award is the Zemlyanykh family from the Northern GOK. Four generations, nine family members who still work at the company today, and almost 466 years of total work experience are an example of how love for the profession, responsibility and dedication to the company become a family tradition. The award was received at the ceremony by the son of the head of the dynasty Vitaliy Solod.

Tetiana PETRUK, Chief Sustainability Officer of Metinvest Group:
– We always say that the main value of Metinvest is people. And today, at the celebration on the occasion of the Day of the Metallurgist and Miner, we were once again convinced of how strong our team is.
Labour dynasties are a source of particular pride. Each of them has dozens of years of dedication to the profession, hundreds of years of total work experience, family traditions passed down from generation to generation. These are not just stories of individual families. This is the living history of our enterprises and the entire Metinvest. And when we see photos of families, we see much more than family photos or figures of work experience. We see trust in the profession that is passed down from parents to children. We see the values on which the plant and the company are based.
That is why for us the "Gold" and "Steel Dynasty" awards are not just a corporate tradition. It's a way of saying "thank you" to families who have been building a business history for decades.

Serhiy Kopychko, a combat veteran, began his professional career at the plant in the 2000s as an excavator operator. Now, after demobilization, he works as a mining dispatcher. He has more than one award in his work. And this year, on the occasion of the Metallurgist's Day, he was awarded an honorary award of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council - the badge "Defence. Unity. Victory».
– For me, this award is primarily about people," says Serhiy Kopychko. - About those with whom we worked together before the war, who supported me during my service, and with whom today we work side by side again. At the front, you especially understand the price of teamwork, trust and responsibility. When I returned to the enterprise, I saw the same values. Here everyone knows that the joint result depends on his work. I am grateful to the company for the support of veterans and for the fact that today words of unity are heard next to the words of gratitude. It is unity that helps us survive - both on the front line and in the rear.
Between the award ceremonies, songs about Kryvbas, Ukraine and working people were heard in the hall. They became an emotional reminder that the true strength of an industrial region is not born only in quarries, mines, or production workshops. It is born in people.
