At the enterprises of Metinvest Group of Kryvyi Rih city, employees are systematically trained to provide the first aid. With the beginning of the war, specialists also learn skills in tactical medicine. It was such knowledge of colleagues that helped to save the life of an electric and gas welder who fell ill while performing work at the Ingulets plant.
The ability to act correctly in an unpredictable situation is not an empty word for workers of Ingulets plant - Ihor Tolkachov, head of the section of the ore beneficiation factory No. 1, and Roman Sai, head of the emergency and rescue service of the plant. Thanks to their quick and coordinated actions, a man's life was saved.
One of the electric and gas welders of the contracting organization, having passed a pre-shift medical examination and having no contraindications due to his health state, started work. However, at the end of the work shift, he suddenly lost consciousness in the workshop. Ihor Tolkachov, the head of the first section of ore beneficiation factory No. 1, was the first to arrive at the scene, who, without wasting a second, called an ambulance and began performing resuscitation measures. Later, the head of the emergency and rescue service of InGOK, Roman Sai, came to his aid. For 40 minutes, until the arrival of the medics, colleagues together fought for the man's life.
Thanks to right and coordinated actions of Igor and Roman, the patient's condition was stabilized and he regained consciousness. The doctors of the ambulance team were impressed by the professionalism of our colleagues. The patient was hospitalized, where he is currently undergoing the necessary treatment and will soon return to work.
