Following a wide range of repair works, Section No. 14 at the beneficiation plant of Central Iron Ore has resumed operation. The planned modernization of part of the process equipment at the concentrate production site took the specialists two weeks to complete.According to long-time workers at the beneficiation plant, such an extensive list of repairs on Section 14 during a single shutdown had never been carried out before. Usually, maintenance was limited to routine repairs, which delivered good results and ensured the section’s reliable operation. However, this year, the team decided to take a more thorough approach."Before starting, we planned the sequence of works, calculated the necessary materials, determined the required number of repair personnel, and estimated the timeframe. Zaporizhstal of Metinvest Group has successfully passed an audit confirming that its hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel products comply with EN 10025 and EN 10130 standards.In February, an auditor from Technical and Management Services LLC, a corporate partner of the TÜV SÜD certification company, inspected Zaporizhstal’s production processes for hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel. To verify that the mechanical properties of the steel met the required standards, metal samples were selected and tested at the plant’s Product Testing and Certification Center. The auditor also reviewed technical and organizational documentation. The expert gave high marks to the company’s systematic efforts to improve product quality and implement new customer-oriented approaches.As a result of the audit, Zaporizhstal confirmed the compliance of its hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel products with the EN 10025-1:2004 standard, Annex ZA, and Construction Regulation 305/2011/EU, as well as the EN 10130 standard.I

Ukrainian defenders taking part in the programme report significant progress thanks to the aquatic rehabilitation programme.As part of the "Free Waves" project, war veterans and active defenders undergo free rehabilitation developed by Olympic medallist Denys Sylantiev. The project has been active in Zaporizhzhia since July 2024, with financial support from Metinvest, Zaporizhstal, and NGO "Zaporizhzhia. Platform for Joint Action".One of many participants, 61-year-old Oleh Dovholenko, has been undergoing aquatic rehabilitation for three months. He shared why he decided to join the programme."I did not feel well, I couldn't even walk up to the second floor. The daughter signed me up, since I used to be a swimmer. I can't walk, but I can swim. I have spine protrusions from wearing body armour. During my first session, I could only reach the middle of the pool. Now, I swim the length of four pools. I feel better and more confident," says Oleh DOVHOLENKO.Oleh says he enjoys the sessions.
