The upgrade marks the latest stage in the implementation of Metinvest Group’s "Workplace Environment" corporate program, which aims to systematically improve working and on-site living conditions at the company’s enterprises. Zaporizhstal allocated nearly UAH 6 million for the major renovation of the water supply shop’s utility rooms and for equipping them with all necessary appliances and furniture.

Despite the difficult wartime conditions, Zaporizhstal continues to implement projects aimed at improving the working conditions and daily comfort of its employees.

The total area of the renovated premises is almost 150 square meters. Sanitary facilities and showers, which are used by 92 employees of the water supply shop, were renovated.

During the repair, water supply, sewerage, electricity supply, lighting and heating systems were completely replaced. A new ventilation system was also installed, modern decoration was carried out and new plumbing equipment was installed.

They also took care of the convenience of employees in everyday life. Wardrobes and benches with hangers, mobile racks for drying clothes, hair dryers and electric hand dryers were installed in the premises. The total budget of the project amounted to almost UAH 6 million.

The convenience of the new household premises has already been appreciated by the workshop workers.

«It is very beautiful and at the same time everything is functional. There is everything you need: convenient washbasins, restrooms, and showers. I especially like the new lockers – they are roomy, comfortable, you can separately place clean and work clothes. "It is very gratifying that our daily needs have been looked after, even in such difficult times," says Kateryna LOS, a pump operator in the water supply department at Zaporizhstal.

Metinvest Group's corporate program "Workplace Environment" has been operating at Zaporizhstal since 2012. It provides for the major renovation and re-equipping of sanitary and amenity facilities, including changing rooms, showers, restrooms, and rooms for eating directly in the production units of the enterprise. 

During the program's implementation, 244 amenity facilities at Zaporizhstal were renovated, and the total investment in their modernization exceeded UAH 266 million.
