Every year, employees of Metinvest's Zaporizhzhia enterprises help to replenish donor blood stock for medical institutions in Zaporizhzhia. Assistance through blood donation has long been part of the corporate culture for steelmakers. They donate blood both during organized trips and individually – whenever their work schedule and health condition allows. Such constancy provides tangible support for medical institutions in the region. Recently, 25 employees of the plant joined the campaign. In total, they donated over 11 liters of blood. At the same time, the participation of Zaporizhstal employees in the blood donor movement is not limited to one day. According to the Zaporizhzhia Regional Blood Service Centre, in February alone, around 80 employees of the plant visited the medical facility to donate blood to save lives. Two ball mills have been replaced at the ore beneficiation plant of Central Iron Ore. The upgrade will ensure high productivity and efficient operation of the equipment, improve the quality of raw material and finished product processing, and also enhance safety for employees. They grind the ore to the required size, which is essential for the subsequent stages of beneficiation.In February, in line with the scheduled maintenance timetable, specialists of Central Iron Ore replaced the drums of two mills – No. 82 and No. 91. A total of 86 hours was allocated for the completion of the work. For the third year in a row, employees of Metinvest iron ores have been participating in the "Bring a Friend" program – they invite their pals and friends, offering them a stable job with a decent income. The program helps enterprises find candidates for vacant positions in conditions of personnel shortages. For the first time in Ukraine, the rolling mill workers of Kamet-Steel have started production of channel No.16 using the tube billet mill. The mastering of new shaped sections continues as part of the recovery programme for Metinvest's product mix, partially lost because of the war.
