A new "home" for electrical equipment: a key substation is being reconstructed at Kamet Steel

New European equipment for reliable power supply of production. In July, the company began a complete overhaul of the Novodomemnna substation. This is a tie-substation that is part of Kamet Steel's "energy island." It supplies power to the blast furnace shop's production, the blast furnace cooling system, and other key equipment at the plant. The substation's long-term operation in harsh conditions, due to its proximity to the water tunnel, necessitates a complete upgrade of the equipment. Most importantly, it will be relocated to a more suitable room designed for electrical equipment. As part of the reconstruction, a new 6 kV switchgear with 12 cells will be installed in the new building. This modern, compact European-made equipment, just nine meters long, will come with nine vacuum circuit breakers that have automatic voltage detection on the cable. This cutting-edge technology prevents personnel from making errors during operational switchovers by using interlocking features, which

For a stronger team: Metinvest’s consolidated ore mining and processing plant conducts rotation

Business process reshuffle at the consolidated ore mining and processing plant (GZK) has freed some members of the Ingulets GZK team, offering them spots at other Metinvest businesses, mostly other GZKs. In July, 100+ Ingulets GZK employees of various occupation used this opportunity and moved to other enterprises, while retaining their salaries and benefits and now receiving an additional bonus for rotation. The workflow transformation at three mining and processing plants was prompted by reduced loads at Ingulets GZK due to significant power supply limitations, increased costs because of forced electricity imports, and high cost of ore concentrate production. In current conditions, this lowered the plant’s output. Meanwhile, the mining and processing divisions of Northern and Central GZKs continue to operate steadily, largely due to the lower production cost of iron ore. However, a shortage of workers has emerged as many employees have been mobilised into the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Even an employee's tone of voice when speaking with veterans can come across as disrespectful. A condescending and unacceptable attitude. A separate part of the lecture was devoted to this.“They encountered difficulties
