Zaporizhstal held a labour collective conference to summarize the outcomes of the 2024 collective agreement. The enterprise successfully fulfilled the fundamental points of the collective agreement that form the foundation of the enterprise's social policy.
Despite the challenging conditions caused by Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Zaporizhstal focused on supporting its team, mobilised employees, war veterans, and their families. Additionally, extensive work was done to support the Ukrainian army, particularly through charitable initiatives organised by the enterprise's volunteer movement.
Specifically, the company continued implementing its corporate programme "Hero's Path: Ecosystem for Integrating Veterans." As part of the programme, over 300 war veterans have already returned to their workplaces after demobilisation. Upon returning from the front, veterans receive a comprehensive medical examination, psychological support, health treatment, prosthetics, retraining, mentoring, and free education at Metinvest Polytechnic, all at the company's expense. Several support projects for veterans and their families were also implemented, including "Unbreakable Mom," the "Free Waves" rehabilitation programme, and "Speak Up, Veteran."
In 2024, the enterprise successfully conducted various intellectual, sporting, professional, and social events. Notable among these was the 48th Scientific and Technical Youth Conference, which brought together 55 young specialists.
During 2024, the enterprise provided employees with free voluntary medical insurance and healthcare, as well as additional insurance options for employees and their family members, totaling over UAH 5.6 million . Separately, UAH 6.4 million was allocated for medical services and medication cost reimbursement for the enterprise's retirees.
In May 2024, the "First Job" programme was launched, offering young professionals a motivational bonus of UAH UAH 50,000 in addition to their salary and regular bonuses during their first year of employment at the enterprise.
In order to support young families, Zaporizhstal implemented a financial assistance programme for employees upon the birth of a child or first marriage – available to one or both spouses if they both work at the enterprise. Nearly 100 employees of Zaporizhstal received financial assistance totalling over UAH 660,000.
In 2024, Zaporizhstal continued implementing its large-scale corporate programme named "Workplace Amenities," aimed at improving comfort in the working environment for metallurgists. A major overhaul of two sanitary and amenity facilities was completed and two new modular sanitary buildings were installed. In total, 1,600 square meters of amenity facilities were renovated for 500 employees, with investments exceeding UAH 23 million.
