Metinvest arranges autumn recreation trips for 45 children of its active duty and veteran employees

Through its Saving Lives humanitarian initiative, Metinvest Group organised recreation trips during the autumn holidays for 45 children of employees from its Ukrainian enterprises. This project was funded by partners of the United Coal Foundation established by UCC, the American coal mining arm of Metinvest.The Synevir Camp, located near Lake Synevir in the Carpathians, hosted children of ATO veterans and combatants, employees with war-related disabilities, mobilised employees serving in combat zones or recovering from serious wounds, and families of employees who perished or sustained severe injuries during shelling of civilian infrastructure. Children of those killed or missing in action were also included.For eight days, children from Metinvest’s 13 Ukrainian enterprises enjoyed many guided tours, mountain hikes, contests, quests, concerts, and campfires."We are doing everything possible to ensure that the children of our defenders feel supported and hopeful for a better tomorrow.

Rinat Akhmetov Foundation provides humanitarian aid to Zaporizhia residents affected by airstrikes

Residents of Zaporizhia whose homes were damaged by Russian airstrikes keep receiving humanitarian assistance from the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.Since 2014, the Foundation has distributed more than 13 million humanitarian aid packages as part of its Saving Lives project. The need for support grew significantly in 2022 when Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.Currently, Zaporizhia locals whose homes were damaged in recent airstrikes this autumn keep coming to receive humanitarian aid packages from the Foundation.One recipient, Lyubov Ivanivna, who came to get a food package, lives in an apartment where windows and doors were blown out during an attack on Naberezhna Street. Metinvest Central Iron Ore Upgrades Workwear Laundry Facility

Repairs have been completed and the laundry has been equipped in the amenity building at Petrivskyi open pit, Central Iron Ore. The company invested over UAH 2 mln to carry out the project.The laundry now features neat, light-coloured rooms, new equipment and an overall sense of cleanliness. This is where workers from Petrivskyi open pit, Mining and Transport Shop No. 2, Motor Transport Shop, Railway Transport Department and Substation Network Shop can have their work clothes washed. Children of Kryvyi Rih defenders and Metinvest employees improved health in Carpathians

Metinvest Group continues to provide psychological and health rehabilitation to children in the Carpathians as part of Rinat Akhmetov's humanitarian initiative, Saving Lives. 16 children of Metinvest's employees – who were either killed in the war defending the country, taken captive, went missing, or returned to the company's enterprises after demobilisation – spent eight unforgettable days at the Synevyr Camp for children in Zakarpattia during the autumn break.With an "Indian summer" at its peak, girls and boys rested, recovered, and recharged. The recreation programme included excursions, hikes, and sports competitions. Autumn Fishing Unites Veterans of Kamet Steel

Returning from war involves not only physical rehabilitation but also the complex psychological adjustment to civilian life. For many veterans, particularly those who were employed at Kamet Steel before the war, getting back to work and resuming a normal routine is challenging and takes time. Recognizing the need to support demobilized soldiers who were employed at the plant, Kamet Steel arranged an autumn fishing trip for them.Supporting such initiatives plays a crucial role in helping veterans adapt socially and in creating conditions for them to lead fulfilling lives. Fishing provides not only emotional relaxation but also an exhilarating sport, where participants experienced genuine excitement and a rush of adrenaline.
