“While russian strikes are bringing Ukraine’s steel industry to a halt, the EU is hitting us with restrictions”, Metinvest CEO tells Corriere della Sera

Yuriy Ryzhenkov, CEO of Metinvest Group, recently gave an interview to the respected Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera. Speaking to its deputy editor-in-chief, Federico Fubini, he discussed the impact of russian attacks on Ukrainian industry, the prospects for restoring steel production and the problems caused by EU trade restrictions.– Will you be able to resume operations at your plants?– Unfortunately, the steel industry has become a target of russian strikes in recent months. Metinvest’s facilities are not the only ones to have come under attack: ArcelorMittal in Kryvyi Rih and Interpipe in Dnipro have also been targeted. Stress is not always in your head: the signals your body sends first
