The steel path through time... This is the path that Kamet-Steel has been following for 135 years. Kamianske honours the history of the glorious local economic mainstay and is proud of its achievements, while steel makers and coke-chemical workers continue the baton of fiery labour for the sake of Ukraine and its future. These days, Kamet-Steel celebrated its honourable birthday. The celebration was held in the small stage hall of Lesia Ukrainka Theatre.
The concert programme was opened by the exquisite Fire Dance. It was as if hot steel had spilled across the stage as a reminder of the beautiful and at the same time dangerous force that steel makers face every day. Then the solemn part of the event began – the presentation of honorary awards at the regional, district and city levels to employees for their hard work.
Ihor Kachaniuk, Director of Metinvest Group's Production Department, warmly congratulated Kamet-Steel's team on its 135th anniversary and presented awards from Metinvest Holding's CEO to the work teams of the plant's five production units: blast furnace, BOF, lime and kiln, rolling shops, as well as of network and substation shop – for their significant contribution to improving production efficiency and the best performance. Congratulations to our colleagues!
Oleg Hapich, Head of the Kamianske District Military Administration, who was the guest of honour at Kamet-Steel's celebration, also presented awards to steel makers and handed over a congratulatory letter to plant's General Director Oleksandr Tretiakov. And, of course, he personally addressed the audience:
“Dear guests, I am very pleased to be present at your wonderful celebration. Today, the flagship of metallurgy, Kamet-Steel, is working to support the Ukrainian economy and help our defenders. The team of Kamet-Steel is made up of people with steel hearts who are not indifferent to other people's misfortunes. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you for your significant and important assistance in strengthening the defence capability of the Kamianske district from the first days of the war, for your help to Ukrainian soldiers. I am grateful for your unbreakable spirit. Together we will bring our Victory closer. I congratulate you on the day the plant was founded and wish you good health and well-being. A low bow to you for your work!
— Oleh HAPICH, Head of the Kamianske District Military Administration
“On behalf of our entire local community, I congratulate our large mainstay on its honourable anniversary. The history of our city is inextricably linked to its development. Thanks to the plant, Kamianske turned from a small village into an industrial town. And today, even in these difficult times, you are working and even finding opportunities to develop new products. I sincerely wish you high achievements and development of the plant and a speedy Victory for Ukraine”, said Andrii BELOUSOV, Mayor of Kamianske,.
In his greetings to the employees, Oleksandr Tretiakov, General Director of Kamet-Steel, noted the special contribution of each of them to the development of the plant and the entire iron and steel industry of the country and wished all the citizens happiness, peace and a peaceful sky above their heads.
In addition to the warm words of congratulations, the festive concert was full of spectacular and colourful performances from the theatre's creative team.
Happy birthday, Kamet-Steel! We cherish your steel heart and let it always beat for the sake of Ukraine. We honour and continue the path of your success together.
