A lot of families work at the plant, some of them were formed here at Zaporizhstal, and there are those who followed footsteps of their relatives and by joining the team.
Nataliia Irynovska has been working as a turbine equipment operator and inspector at the heat and power plant at Zaporizhstal since the last autumn.
" I have wanted to work at Zaporizhstal for a long time, especially at the heat and power plant. My son has been working here for 4 years and he told me about a refer-a-friend program,' says Nataliia. "I've decided that now is the best moment for me to make my wish come true. My son brought me here, and I have no regrets."
The refer-a-friend program provides a cash reward to employees who refer a relative or friend to work at the plant. The reward is equal to the salary of the referring employee and is paid out in three stages: 30% of the salary after the candidate is hired, 40% after the referred employee has worked for 3 months, and the remaining 30% after 6 months of employment for the referred individual.
" I joined Zaporizhstal in 2020. I am part of a great team stable and decent wage, and have the opportunity to continuously improve my skills and knowledge," shares Nataliia’s son Vladyslav TOVSTONOVSKY, a repair and maintenance electrician of electric equipment. " When I learned about the refer-a-friend program and a job opening in the CHP department, I suggested it to my mother right away, knowing she was looking to switch jobs and join the plant as an employee."
Before being hired, Nataliia worked at one of the largest production facilities in Zaporizhzhia, but that didn't stop her from joining the team at Zaporizhstal.
Nataliia emphasizes: "In all respects, working here at Zaporizhstal is a win-win: higher salary, convenient schedule, engaging work and a better team attitude. Now, working at the plant, I understand much better why people here value their place and their work. To work as a turbine equipment operator and inspector in turbine shop, I underwent a special training and have been working independently for a long time. The most important thing for me is the opportunity to have stable employment and be with my son, contributing to the development of our plant during challenging times.”
