At the enterprises of the United Iron Ore Enrichment Works of Metinvest in Kryvyi Rih, the implementation of a programme to improve amenities is in progress. Repairs cover showers and laundries of business units.
Since the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, Metinvest's enterprises in Kryvyi Rih have continued to maintain production capacities in the face of limited logistics and energy capabilities. But despite the difficulties of time, the company systematically invests in the implementation of social obligations, in particular those related to the improvement of amenities for employees. Currently, works at the facilities identified for renovation this year are in active phase.
At Northern GOK, it is planned to make amenities convenient for railway station workers in 2024. At present, the repairs of the shower, dressing room and sanitary room at "Karierna" station are almost completed. There, a complete renovation of the rooms was carried out with the replacement of main communications, preparation and cladding of surfaces with waterproof material and replacement of plumbing equipment. Dismantling works of amenities for further repairs has already been carried out at "Porodna" station. For the third quarter of this year, it is planned to reconstruct showers, changing rooms and bathrooms at "Rozvantazhuvalna" and "Vidvalna" stations.
The priority area for improving amenities at CGOK this year is the repair of rooms for washing overalls. The laundries of the crushing plant of Kolachevskyi mine and Petrivskyi open pit mine, which serve a total of 2.5 thousand employees of the plant and wash 10 tonnes of overalls a month, are next in turn for renovation. In addition to major overhauls, laundries will be equipped with new equipment. It is planned to purchase new industrial machines for washing and drying clothes to meet the needs of the workshops. Also this year, amenity modules will be purchased for employees of remote sections of CGOK facilities located on the territory of Petrivska community.
The major overhaul of the women's shower rooms of the administrative and amenity facility of the open-pit shop has been planned for this year at Ingulets GOK. The works here include a corridor room, a changing room, a sanitary room and a shower room. To date, the builders have already dismantled the old coating, waterproofed the floor and laid ceramic tiles, and tiled the walls. The next step is the installation of the ceiling. Similar works have been carried out in the rooms of the laundries of two business units: open-pit and railway workshop. Not only laundry rooms will be put in order here, but also drying rooms, seamstresses' rooms and points of reception and distribution of overalls.
Currently, the works are in progress in all business units. They are planned to be completed in a few months. depending on the approved repair schedule.
