At Metinvest's GOK, activists of the Youth Union and youth leaders of subdivisions have undergone a two-day training in communication and conflict resolution skills.

Communication is at the heart of all business processes at the enterprise. Persuasive management and collaboration between team members underpin task-setting and delivery and ensure that the team works like a well-oiled machine. With this in mind, as part of the personnel training programmes, the plant organised a training in communication basics.

Olha Makeieva, a leading managerial training specialist, noted that such classes are intended to help improve the communication skills of young employees, which is an important element of effective teamwork. These skills include the ability to be persuasive, find a way out of conflict situations, maintain trust in relationships with people and always be prepared for public speaking in front of an audience.

During the training, the participants learnt the techniques for constructive dialogue and the art of self-presentation, the culture of business communication, the basics of rhetoric, behavioural strategies, communication techniques and other aspects of effective communication.
