Each Blogger Camp session, organised by the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for children affected by the war, provides an opportunity for rest, recovery, and recreation. It also gives them the opportunity to make new friends, discover their talents, and gain new knowledge and valuable skills.
During the first summer camp session, campers took part in an interactive event focused on artificial intelligence. The event was delivered by the team of Metinvest Digital with the participation of the company's Director for Innovation and Development, Maksym Balaniuk. The interactive session was designed to introduce children to the fundamental principles behind artificial intelligence technologies and to demonstrate how they can be used safely and effectively in learning and everyday life.
During the session, Maksym BALANIUK emphasised the importance of introducing children to technology at an early age and helping them develop the skills needed to use it responsibly and effectively:
“We sought to convey to the children that, despite the advancement of technology and the simplification of many everyday and workplace processes, knowledge and expertise remain the decisive factors. It does not matter what technologies may be available to you — whether artificial intelligence, quantum computers, or some other innovation that we cannot even imagine today. It is human knowledge and skills that will continue to play the decisive role."

The children showed particular interest in the practical part of the session, during which they had the opportunity to ask questions about modern technologies and discuss the potential applications of artificial intelligence in education. Participants in the interactive session shared their impressions:
“The most interesting part for me was the task where we were shown how to create videos using artificial intelligence,” said Mariia, a Camp participant.
“I enjoyed the quiz the most. It was great fun answering the questions and learning something new,” said Daryna, a camper.
According to the organisers, such events help children develop an understanding of modern technologies, foster critical thinking, and teach them to navigate the digital world responsibly. In addition, it provides an excellent opportunity to help young people make decisions about their future career paths.
'Blogger Camp' consistently offers engaging and diverse activities that help Ukrainian young people to believe in their own abilities, relax and improve their health in the fresh air, make new friends, and look with confidence towards their own future and that of their country, despite the challenges of the present day.
Through the ‘Rinat Akhmetov – For Children. Peaceful Recreation for Children of Ukraine’ programme, nearly 5,000 children from across the country have already been given the opportunity to recover their strength, find hope, and gain new experiences. Over the course of its activities, the Foundation has provided support to more than six million children across Ukraine.
