Zaporizhstal steelmakers hand over bulletproof vests to rescuers

Zaporizhstal of Rinat Akhmetov and Vadym Novynsky’s Metinvest Group has handed over 50 bulletproof vests to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zaporizhia Oblast.

Rescuers received Level IV body armour from Zaporizhstal, according to the head of the Emergency Response Unit of the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhia Oblast Oleksiy Puha. The gear is quite reliable to protect rescuers working to mitigate effects of emergencies caused by enemy shelling. 

– These bulletproof vests are lighter, however, rescuers will be protected very well. This is very important for us, – said Oleksiy PUHA, Colonel of the Civil Protection Service..

Yevhen Avdzhy, Commercial Director of Metinvest Group’s Zaporizhstal, handed over the bulletproof vests to the rescuers.  Oleksii Lepskyi, Major General of the Civil Protection Service and head of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhia Oblast, thanked the plant for their important and timely assistance.
