The team of Production Preparation Department at Zaporizhstal celebrated its birthday

In 1953, Zaporizhstal's Production Preparation Shop began its life with several sections, which later grew into a department and employed more than 300 people.

Today, the Production Preparation Department includes a tare and carpentry workshop, a sawmill, warehouse facilities, and a coal base warehouse.

The sawmill is the largest section of the department. More than 20 cubic metres of wood are processed here every day, which are then used in the tare workshop and rolling shops. Specialists turn the processed wood into pallets, products for packaging and transporting Zaporizhstal's rolled steel, as well as for the production needs of the plant' shops.

The sawmill's team includes experienced and promising employees: foreman IHor Pesnev, frame workers Yevgenii Borzenko, Mykola Rylskyi, Andrii Malynovskyi, Oleksandr Ivanov, and machine operator Viktor Pastukh.

"During the full-scale war, it is really important for me to work in a reliable team, at my home company. Here, each of us does what we are good at, and this supports the plant in difficult times," says Dmytro MYKHAILOV, head of the warehouse section.

There are 18 Zaporizhstal employees working in the tare and carpentry workshops. Thanks to their hard work, the high-quality wooden auxiliary products are timely delivered to plant' subdivisions. Among the experienced workers in the workshops are foreman Ruslan Mykhaisky, machine operator Vitalii Babiev, carpenter Anatolii Ishchenko, and work distributor Tetiana Nazarenko.

The foremen Vladimir Koskin and Dmytro Nikishyn, warehouse worker Svetlana Muzyka, warehouse worker Olha Hrytsylo, loader Andrii Zhukov, and BSV operator Oleksandr Moskovsky have been keeping the warehouse facilities in order.

"I congratulate all my colleagues on the anniversary of our shop. Throughout the history of the plant and our department, Zaporizhstal employees have always been distinguished by their dignity and hard work, resilience and professionalism. And after decades, this remains unchanged today. I am grateful to all of you for your hard work, involvement and inspiration. I wish you peaceful skies and victory as soon as possible!" congratulated the team Stanislav KLIUEV, Head of Production Preparation Department at Zaporizhstal.
