Worthy of Their Awards: Metinvest’s Top Miners Honoured on Their Professional Holiday

Following a long-standing tradition, employees from Metinvest’s GOKs receive various awards on the Metallurgist and Miner’s Day. This year, almost 200 employees from three plants were acknowledged by the company's leadership, plant management, local authorities, and trade unions for their efficient work, production achievements, and professionalism.

This commendable tradition continues even during wartime, as awards find their way to the most deserving. On this professional holiday, managers once again congratulated and awarded the best employees of Ingulets GOK, Northern GOK, and Central GOK during shift meetings. Each awardee has their own professional journey, yet they all have one thing in common – achieving outstanding results.

The work teams of structural divisions and sections, which demonstrated the best performance, were presented with certifications of recognition and certificates for household improvements. At Northern GOK, the top performers were Ore Enrichment Plant No. 1, Pellet Plant No. 2, and Pershotravnevyi Quarry. At Ingulets GOK, the leading departments were the Production Preparation Shop, the main production section of RZF-2, and the power supply section of the Substation Networks Shop. At Central GOK, the Ore Processing and Crushing Plants, as well as the Slurry Circuit Shop, received certifications of recognition from the company.

Nine employees at Integrated GOK received letters of appreciation from Metinvest Group CEO Yuriy Ryzhenkov for their significant personal contributions to improving production efficiency. At Ingulets GOK, the recognized employees were Oleksandr Kolehayev, an electric and gas welder from the Maintenance Shop; Vitaliy Loshakov, a mechanic from the Technological Motor Transport Shop; and Ihor Tolkachov, a head of the main production section of RZF-1. At Central GOK, letters of appreciation from the company's CEO were awarded to Serhiy Boldyrev, a mechanic from the Maintenance Shop; Ihor Hulidov, a crusher operator from the Crushing Plant; and Oleksandr Zadorozhnyi, a deputy head of the Pelletizing Plant for production and planning.

Among Northern GOK employees, letters of appreciation were presented to Oleh Radkevych, an excavator operator from Pershotravnevyi Quarry; Liubov Beskrovna, a pump operator from RZF-1; and Volodymyr Demko, a vehicle driver in the quarry of Mining Transport Shop No. 1.

Eighty-two more employees from GOK and MPS were awarded with certificates of honour from Ihor Tonev, CEO of Metinvest's Integrated GOK, for their initiative, leadership, and personal contributions to projects aimed at improving production efficiency and workplace safety.

The work teams of enterprises continue to work during these challenging wartime conditions: extracting ore, producing quality products, working on operational efficiency, reducing costs, as well as supporting the country's economy, helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine and local communities. Employees tirelessly volunteer and donate to meet the needs of the military and those in need.
