In labour dynasties, they often talk about years of experience. In the Patrechenko family, it is also impressive – 258 years old for everyone. But something else is more important for them: the ability to pass on knowledge, responsibility and willingness to be where your experience is most needed to the next generations. Three generations of the family connected their lives with mining. Two pioneers among its members. Today, the dynasty unites 13 people, and for five members of the family, Central Iron Ore has become a single place of work for a lifetime. This year, the family received the title of "Steel Dynasty of Mine Workers" of Metinvest.
Patrechenkos have worked and are working in almost all key areas of production - from open pit mines to energy facilities. Among them are managers, engineers, surveyors, mechanical engineers and representatives of the main mining professions. But most of all, this family is united not by professions, but by their attitude to business.
The dynasty has several mentors at once. People who don't just do their job, but help others grow.
For almost half a century, Iryna Patrechenko has been working at the enterprise, a manager who has become an example of professionalism and dedication to the company for many young employees.
Viktor Patrechenko, head of the network and substation shop, has been passing on his experience to young specialists for years, teaching them not only professional subtleties, but also team values and responsibility for results.
Natalia Patrechenko helps colleagues learn new knowledge and is convinced that a true professional never stops learning on their own.

Every year, Metinvest award the families that make the company's history. In 2026, according to the results of the corporate competition, four Gold and six Steel dynasties were awarded – among metallurgists, mine workers, repairmen and coke and chemicals industry workers.
That is why among the numerous achievements of the family, not only awards occupy a special place. Although the Patrechenkos can be safely proud of them: state, sectoral, regional and corporate awards, as well as the honorary title "Honoured Power Engineer of Ukraine" from Vasyl Patrechenko.
Recent years have shown another feature of this family - concern. The Patrechenkos actively help the military, join the plant's charitable initiatives, and support IDPs, in particular from Pokrovsk, who were helped with finding a job. And one of the representatives of the younger generation of the dynasty – Roman Patrechenko – today defends Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
For the Patrechenkos, being part of a dynasty means not only working at one plant. This means supporting each other, helping people around and leaving behind not only decent work results, but also a good reputation.
Vasyl PATRECHENKO, head of the dynasty said,
"We value family ties very much. Indeed, the connection of generations is not broken where respect and mutual understanding reign in family relations. The older generation is always a role model for young people. 13 employees are part of our family dynasty, 9 of them have the same surname for all of them – Patrechenko."
