Central Iron Ore Confirms H&S Compliance with International Standards

Metinvest Central Iron Ore has successfully completed a recertification audit confirming H&S compliance with requirements of ISO 45001:2018.

ISO 45001 is a standard that establishes requirements for H&S systems, ensuring safe working conditions and preventing injuries and occupational diseases among the enterprise’s employees. It was developed by a committee of international experts in HSE and is aimed at improving indicators in the occupation safety area and ensuring constant enhancement of the management system.

"To obtain the certificate, structural units of Central Iron Ore have successfully completed the audit and assessment process, following the results of which the enterprise is recommended to be issued the international certificate. Such a certificate is issued for a period of three years, during which annual supervision audits for compliance with the standard requirements will be carried out," explained Maksym SOVENKO, Acting Head of the Occupational Health and Safety Department of the HSE Directorate at Metinvest Iron Ore Plants. "Certification is confirmation that the enterprise utilises up-to-date approaches and systematically develops occupational safety culture. Undoubtedly, this result has become possible due to the well-coordinated and systematic work of the enterprise's specialists, their responsibility, and daily efforts.
