Golden dynasty of Metinvest from Zaporizhvognetryv: three generations – joint goals

The third generation representatives of metallurgists are very proud of their family and told their story of work at Zaporizhvognetryv. 

Zaporizhvognetryv is not just a work for the Zinchenko dynasty. It is a place of power, where three generations of glorious family working. Nine representatives have 216 years of working experience in total, and this story is ongoing. 

The dynasty founder, Mykola Zinchenko, started his career at the enterprise in 1955. He worked in the magnesia product. The tried different specialists such as an edge runner mill operator, an operator of refractory press, and repairman in the same shop. He left behind not only his experience, but also a deep respect from his colleagues. He retired in 1987, passing the baton to the next generations. 

Oleksandra Zinchenko, the founder's wife, joined the enterprise in 1955. She also started working as an edge runner mill operator and became a dosing operator in the magnesia product shop later. She dedicated 32 years to the enterprise.

Their children continued the matter. 

Liudmula Pashkulska, the daughter, worked as a time-keeper in the chamotte firing shop. Later, she was transferred to the magnesia product shop and worked as a grinder. In total, she worked 36 years at the enterprise. 

Oleksandr Zinchenko (the son of Mykola and Oleksandra) worked as an electrician in the chamotte shop 26 years. 

Natalia Zinchenko worked 33 years at the enterprise.

The daughters of Natalia and Oleksandr Zinchenko – Daria Zinchenko worked at Zaporizhvognetryv as an accountant, and Hanna Mishchenko continues to work as an economist at the enterprise.

The daughter of Lyudmila Pashkulskaya – Iryna Pylypenko got a job at Zaporizhvognetryv in 2007, in the technology and quality management laboratory.

– I really wanted to work where my mother worked, in the magnesia products shop, because I had heard a lot of stories about her work, about the team. So it was interesting to try myself in this business, to continue the family history at the production. In addition, working with relatives is a separate type of support, another common value, interests and aspirations, – says Iryna.

Iryna’s brother Yevhen Pashkulsky has been working at the enterprise since 2000. He has worked his way up from a locksmith to a shift manager at the press section. Today he is the shift manager of the press section of the magnesia products shop. His experience is 25 years, but his contribution goes far beyond production.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Yevhen did not stay aside: he fortified checkpoints, transported sandbags, and helped the Defense Forces. He provided shelter to a family of displaced persons from the Zaporizhzhia region, who still lives in his apartment. He also organized the production of stoves. After the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the family helped the Armed Forces of Ukraine with food and by collecting funds for the treatment of wounded soldiers.

The women of the Zinchenko dynasty prepared dinners for the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, helped hospitals and clinics in the city, handing over bed linen and hygiene products. Their care is another front where victory is achieved every day.

Of the nine members of the Zinchenko dynasty, today four specialists work at the enterprise: shift manager of the press section of the magnesia products shop Yevhen Pashkulsky, laboratory assistant of the technology and quality department Iryna Pylypenko, storekeeper of the aluminosilicate shop Natalya Zinchenko, economist Hanna Mishchenko.

The current head of the dynasty Yevhen Pashkulsky is confident that each member of the Zinchenko production family will have the opportunity to prove himself at the enterprise, become a professional and worthily continue the family business.

– For us, “Zaporizhvognetryv” is not just an enterprise, it is a place that unites our family. Our family has been working at this plant for three generations, and each of us understands: our job is to work harmoniously so that others can create coke and steel. And we are proud to be part of the past, present and future of our enterprise, – says Yevhen PASHKULSKY.

This year, on Metallurgist and Miner's Day, the Zinchenko dynasty received the "Golden Dynasty of Metinvest" award for dedication to the profession, responsible work, and volunteer activities.
