In 2024, Metinvest’s Zaporizhia-based enterprises – Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhvognetryv, Zaporizhkoks, and Zaporizhia Foundry and Mechanical Plant – collectively paid approximately UAH 3 billion in taxes and fees across all levels of government. This represents a 35% increase compared to 2023.
“Ensuring stable operations in a frontline region is an extraordinary challenge in the current circumstances. On the one hand, we are implementing measures to enhance operational efficiency at our production sites. On the other, we are prioritising customer satisfaction and product quality to maintain export revenues, which help support the national economy. As long as our team continues working, Zaporizhstal remains committed to supporting the country, the military, and society, despite all the hardships and challenges of wartime,” said Taras SHEVCHENKO, Acting General Director of Zaporizhstal and Hero of Ukraine.
Metinvest Group enterprises continue to be among Zaporizhia’s largest taxpayers, contributing over UAH 1 billion to local budgets in 2024, a 30% increase compared to 2023.
In the 2024 tax and fee structure, the largest contributions came from personal income tax and unified social security contributions. A significant portion of payments also included environmental tax, land tax, and military contribution.
Notably, when factoring in associated companies and joint ventures, Metinvest Group increased its total tax and fee payments to budgets at all levels in Ukraine by 36% compared to 2023, reaching UAH 19.8 billion in 2024.
Metinvest remains one of Ukraine’s largest taxpayers and private donors to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the company has allocated over UAH 8 billion to support Ukraine and its citizens. Of this, UAH 4.4 billion has been dedicated to military needs as part of Rinat Akhmetov’s Steel Front initiative.
