Colleagues of Zaporizhstal's long-serving employee visited to congratulate on this milestone.
Many names are listed in the chronicle of the Zaporizhstal iron and steelworks. All of them have the endurance of steel and, even in retirement, continue to be a part of the enterprise's life. In return, the plant supports it long-serving employees by assisting them in difficult times, caring for them, and staying connected.
Recently, the steelworkers of Zaporizhstal visited long-serving employee Borys FEDOROV to congratulate him on his 75th anniversary.
"Our senior colleagues have devoted many years of their lives to the steelworks. Just as Zaporizhstal employees today give their all for the operation of the enterprise, you did the same many years ago. Your career path commands great respect and gratitude. And you continue to be an example of dedicated and conscientious work for us," Maksym PED, HR Director of Zaporizhstal, congratulated the senior colleague.
Borys Viktorovych devoted more than 30 years of his life to the steelworks. He started as an assistant steel casting operator and eventually became a refractory worker. He was often entrusted with the duties of a foreman. In various departments and roles, he always tackled every task with dedication and a deep passion for steelmaking. He also provided valuable advice to the younger generation of production workers, sharing his experience and knowledge with them. Eventually, he was awarded the title of Honoured Metallurgist of Ukraine.
"It's been so many years since I retired, but I still remember my home plant, Zaporizhstal, fondly. So many pleasant memories were associated with it: work achievements, new acquaintances and friends. Of course, there were difficulties, but like today's steelworkers, we faced them with dignity, united in pursuit of a common goal. I am proud to be a part of Zaporizhstal's history," says Borys Viktorovych.
Zaporizhstal's long-serving employee is certain: the work of steelworkers is more important to the country than ever. In addition, Borys Viktorovych congratulated the younger generation of Zaporizhstal employees with the upcoming professional holiday - Steelworker and Miner Day.
"You are now entrusted with a great deal of responsibility, and not only our present but also our future depends on you. Because you are doing an extremely important job – supporting the country's economy, helping our defenders and civilians, and bringing us closer to Victory. After that, we will face a challenging path of reconstruction, which will be impossible without you, the steelworkers. So, I wish Zaporizhstal endurance, resilience, and steel-like strength!" the senior colleague added.
