Even during the war, Metinvest continues to take care of the settlements that border the company's industrial enterprises. This year's support for the villages of the Gleyuvatska community was recorded in a memorandum of cooperation between Metinvest Integrated Iron Ore, the Gleyuvatska Village Council and the NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future".
Long-term cooperation brings results. It is thanks to a useful partnership that the villages of the Gleyuvatska TC are being developed, and the infrastructure is being improved. As a result of participation in the socio-economic life of the community, partners gain experience and determine which projects should be implemented in the first place. This year, repairs of educational institutions, including thermal modernization of buildings, which will increase energy efficiency and create comfortable conditions for study and work, remain among the priority areas.
"Our cooperation with the Gleyuvatska community has been going on since 2019. During this time, a lot has been done to develop infrastructure and the comfort of residents – schools and kindergartens were repaired, an updated outpatient clinic was opened in Shevchenkivske village. In 2026, we are not going to change our plans and, together with our partners, we are determining the main areas of joint work and fulfilling all our obligations," said Igor TONEV, General Director of Integrated Iron Ore of Metinvest Group.
According to Olena Leshchenko, director of the NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future", this year assistance will be provided in the preparation of design and estimate documentation for the future Community Safety Centre and other social projects. There are also plans to continue water supply to residents and improvement measures.

It identifies priority areas of joint work aimed at improving the quality of life of residents and developing the social infrastructure of the community. The joint work of local self-government, business and the public sector allows us to implement important initiatives and consistently develop the community even in difficult times for the country," said Dmytro GUREIEV, First Deputy Head of the Gleyuvatska Village Centre.
