Metinvest Polytechnic lecturers met with students of Selidovo colleges and lyceums

Graduates of Selidovo Vocational Lyceum and Selidovo Polytechnic Vocational College discovered the prospects for higher education during a joint event with Metinvest Polytechnic representatives. The meeting, organised as part of the career guidance campaign, became a platform for an active discussion on the relevance and importance of technical education for Ukraine.

Representatives of the Admissions Committee and the academic staff told the young people about the opportunities for studying at the university and the career prospects that are open to them. They presented various educational programmes, explained the admission conditions and told about the benefits of studying at Metinvest Polytechnic, where each student has the opportunity to gain not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills necessary for a successful career.

Noting the university's initiative, Serhii MANIAKIN, Head of Education at Selidovo Polytechnic Vocational College, stressed the importance of continuous self-improvement and active participation in training programmes that promote career development and high-quality training.

Addressing his electromechanics students, who graduated from the college, he emphasised: "Now you are at the final stage of your college studies, and you are faced with the question of choosing a further path. Today, we have invited representatives of Metinvest Polytechnic University – our friends and, I hope, our partners - to the meeting to learn about the educational programmes, admission requirements and the opportunities that education opens up for you along with building a career."

Special attention was paid to the possibility of combining study and work, which opens up wide horizons for students to develop and grow professionally while studying. Metinvest Polytechnic's lecturers also stressed the importance of practical experience and active participation in production projects, as well as laboratory workshops and internships for the development of professional competencies.

Olena NAKEMPIY, a lecturer at the university and a representative of the Admissions Committee, told the audience that anyone can enter Metinvest Polytechnic: "Aside from obtaining higher education on a contractual basis, there is an opportunity to study at Metinvest's request, thanks to which students can obtain education at the expense of the requesting party rather than spending their own money. The company covers the cost of education for its employees and their children, as well as for students who are willing to work at the company's production facilities during and after their studies."
