Over 30,000 retired employees of Metinvest will receive food packages as part of the Saving Lives humanitarian project, implemented by the Group and DTEK in coordination with the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and partners.
Over the four months of Saving Lives, almost 100,000 Ukrainians have received assistance. Essential food and personal hygiene products are issued to internally displaced persons, civilians in de-occupied territories, vulnerable social groups, families of mobilised Metinvest employees, and personnel entitled to welfare benefits.
The Saving Lives project is expanding its footprint and scale of assistance daily thanks to funding from SCM's businesses, support from strategic partners and donations from employees. The humanitarian mission will also cover former Metinvest employees in retirement. These include over 30,000 former personnel from Krivyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, Kamianske and Pokrovsk. They worked on the shop floor for years, raised more than one generation of professionals and require support in these difficult times.

Metinvest will distribute 30,000 food packages to retired long-serving employees as follows: 15,700 in Krivyi Rih, 6,300 in Zaporizhzhia, 5,000 in Kamianske and 3,000 in Pokrovsk.
Retired employees will receive food packages that include flour, pasta, grains, oatmeal, sugar, condensed milk, and canned meat and fish. Such assistance will help elderly people to save money and time in searching for essential products, as supplies to regions near the front line have been disrupted amid logistical problems.
Aside from food and other items, Ukraine receives medical supplies as part of the Saving Lives project. In particular, Metinvest provided EUR238,000 worth of medication and consumables to hospitals in Zaporizhzhia and Kamianske, as well as 1,500 vitamin packs for internally displaced people through its rehabilitation and reintegration centres.
