The trajectory of partnership: A medical facility was renovated in Kamianske with the support of Metinvest to mark the city’s 275th anniversary

The city of Kamianske marked its 275th anniversary, and the most fitting gift for residents on this momentous occasion was, as tradition holds, the opening of socially significant facilities following renovation or reconstruction. One such facility is Family Medicine Outpatient Clinic No. 7 of Primary Health Care Center No. 3, renovated as part of the Memorandum of Cooperation implementation on social and economic development signed between Metinvest Group and the Kamianske City Council.

The longstanding partnership between the city’s largest steel-making enterprise and the local community has taken on new significance during these challenging wartime years; Kamet Steel and Metinvest Group remain a steadfast pillar for Kamianske’s economy and social development.

For the second year in a row, the company has provided substantial support to the city in implementing vital infrastructure projects, primarily in the healthcare sector. Last year, under the cooperation agreement, the city community received UAH 50 mln, which were allocated to co-finance the reconstruction of three hospitals and the repair of protective structures.

This year, the total amount of assistance under the memorandum signed between Metinvest Group and the Kamianske City Council will amount to UAH 70 mln, of which UAH 55.5 mln are also designated for the co-financing of healthcare facility upgrades, while UAH 14.5 mln will be allocated for the purchase of five tram cars for the city.

As part of the City Day programme, Kamet Steel General Director Oleksandr Tretiakov and Kamianske Mayor Andriy Bilousov visited Family Medicine Outpatient Clinic No. 7 of Primary Health Care Center No. 3, which was newly renovated with Metinvest’s co-financing.

As part of this year’s project, with the company’s support, the first and third floors of Primary Health Care Center No. 3 will be renovated, and the facility’s heating and air conditioning systems will be modernised, improving the quality and comfort of medical services for thousands of Kamianske residents, as well as ensuring accessibility for people with disabilities and other groups with limited mobility. Insulating the building’s facade will significantly reduce energy consumption.

Mayor Andriy Bilousov thanked Kamet Steel and Metinvest Group for their reliable partnership and, in particular, for the funds provided to co-finance socially significant projects for the city.

Kamet Steel General Director extended heartfelt City Day greetings to all residents of Kamianske, emphasising his personal satisfaction at seeing projects implemented that improve the life of the community.

Oleksandr TRETIAKOV, General Director of Kamet Steel:

"We are opening the outpatient clinic after a major renovation. Thanks to the joint efforts of Metinvest and the city, the medical facility is now ready to serve residents. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to the implementation of this project. To the city authorities for their support, to the builders for their quality work, and to the residents for their trust. Happy birthday, Kamianske!"
