Metinvest helps upgrade outpatient clinic in Kamianske

Metinvest Group continues to take an active role in supporting medical facilities in Kamianske. In early January, the fourth floor of the outpatient clinic of the Primary Health Care Centre was officially opened after a large-scale overhaul. The modernisation of the medical unit was carried out with a financial support of Metinvest as part of Memorandum of Cooperation with the Kamianske City Council.

From now on, the fourth floor of the outpatient clinic is a renovated clinical diagnostic laboratory. Residents of the city can receive medical services in an improved sanitary and technical environment, as the healthcare facility meets all modern standards. Doctors' offices are equipped with comfortable furniture, and comfortable waiting areas have been created for patients. The outpatient clinic has become more accessible for people with disabilities thanks to the installation of wheelchair ramps.

Andrii Belousov, Mayor of Kamianske, and Oleksandr Tretiakov, General Director of Kamet-Steel, were the first to inspect the renovated fourth floor of the medical facility.

"I am grateful to Kamet-Steel of Metinvest Group for co-financing this important project. We are working together to ensure that healthcare in Kamianske meets the best standards that our residents and healthcare workers deserve," – Andrii BILOUSOV, Mayor of Kamianske.

"The fruitful cooperation with Andrii Bilousov and the Kamianske City Council is the key to success in overcoming today's challenges and building a strong and prosperous Ukraine. In the new year, the company will continue to support Ukraine's defenders and civilians. The steel family of Kamet-Steel is working to ensure that the residents of the city feel our care and support. Investments in healthcare are just the beginning of our joint journey to rebuild the country." – Oleksandr TRETIAKOV, General Director of Kamet-Steel.

Under the terms of the Memorandum of Cooperation in Social and Economic Development signed by Metinvest Group with the Kamianske City Council, the community will receive UAH 50 million from Metinvest in 2024-2025 to co-finance the reconstruction of the city's hospital No. 9 and ambulance service, as well as the Primary Health Care Centre No. 3. This year, the latter two hospitals will undergo major overhauls to their civil defence facilities, and a new shelter will be built in Lyceum No. 22 to meet modern standards.

In 2024, the company provided funds to co-finance major overhauls of the gynaecological and trauma departments (30 beds) of Municipal Hospital No. 9, as well as the clinical diagnostic laboratory and intensive care unit of the emergency hospital.
