In 2025, Metinvest's Central Iron Ore Mining and Processing Plant will support the Lozuvatka community in resolving issues of reconstruction and repairs of social infrastructure institutions, providing materials for road improvement. Metinvest's mining and processing plant, the Lozuvatka village council and the coordinator of the work, NGO "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future", have officially confirmed their intentions to cooperate by signing a memorandum.
For the first time, such a document, which defined the principles, forms and directions of cooperation between business and the community through a public organization in Lozuvatka, was signed a year before the full-scale war. The parties began their joint work with the elaboration of a Development Strategy, and the construction of a recreation park was chosen as the very first project. Residents of Lozuvatka took an active part in the competition for the best leisure space project. Before the start of the full-scale invasion, residents already had an entrance area of the park with paved paths, planted ornamental trees and shrubs, as well as many more plans for the prosperity of the village.
"For more than three years, every sphere of life in our country has been feeling the devastating impact of the war. It is difficult at the front, it is not easy in the rear. But Metinvest finds opportunities to help communities so that people, in particular, internally displaced, can live more comfortably and safely. So that our defenders, returning home, and their families can receive medical, administrative and social assistance in proper conditions. This is exactly what we are investing in," said Ihor TONEV, general director of Metinvest's Integrated Iron Ore Mining and Processing Plant.

According to the director of nongovernmental organization "Kryvyi Rih Foundation for the Future" Olena LESHCHENKO, this year the resources will be directed to the third stage of current repairs as part of the reconstruction of the kindergarten building in the village Sofiivka of the Lozuvatka community. Work on the large-scale project has been going on for the third year. Their goal is to create a multifunctional space with a shelter on the basis of the kindergarten for the convenience of village residents, which will include an Administration Service Centre and a Centre for cultural and educational development. The partners also plan to implement an important project – to carry out a repair of the face side and the roof of the Lozuvatka Outpatient Clinic of General Family Medicine.
"The provision of high-quality medical care in decent conditions has always been a priority issue for our community. The Lozuvatka outpatient clinic is the largest of the four in our villages. It serves more than 13 thousand people, among whom there are many families of defenders and war veterans, as well as almost half a thousand IDPs. The outpatient clinic building has long needed roof repair, external wall insulation, replacement of windows and doors, and arrangement of a ramp for people with limited mobility at the entrance to the premises. With the support of Metinvest, we plan to implement our plans this year," said Vitalii YATSENKO, head of the Lozuvatka village council.
Within the framework of the current memorandum, during the year, Central mining and processing plant will wash berms and technological roads in accordance with the approved schedules, as well as provide backfill material for grading and landscaping rural and intervillage roads.
